Rick Swann

Rick Swann (born October 10, 1989) is a Northern Irish musician/producer primarily based in the Jazz genre & highly regarded as one of Irelands finest trumpet players. Rick has been featured on numerous high profile bills on stages ranging from London's 'Royal Albert Hall', to Belfast's 'Odyssey Arena'. Having performed on live stages in a professional setting since the age of 12, Rick has developed a much respected and influential role within the Irish & U.K Jazz scene.

Swann currently works on a range of high profile residencies primarily focused on facilitating and growing the Northern Irish Jazz Scene as Artistic Director of the newly established Jaxx Jazz Club (Belfast) & Atlantic Jazz Club (Portrush). In addition to this, Rick works in club settings as a key founder of the 'bebopwithbeats' movement exclusively in Belfast clubs 'El Divino', 'The Albany' & 'The Filthy Quarter'. Aside from these residencies, Rick also writes and produces shows under 'Rick Swann Productions' throughout Theatre circuits. Recent shows have included: "Satchmo - The Life of Louis Armstrong" & "The Extraordinary Ella Fitzgerald".

In addition to an extensive list of live performances Rick has also worked on numerous recordings in many genres including: Homemade Worship by Handmade People - Rend Collective Experiment (2012) Love Shines Through - Tim Hughes (2011) Organic Family Hymnal - Rend Collective Experiment (2010)
