Rick Lorenzini

Rick Lorenzini is an American singer-songwriter rooted in Southern California whose music spans many genres, folk undertones mixed with some jazz -inclinations. Lorenzini has released a previous solo album and two studio albums with The Jackstones. Written and recorded in 2021 and 2022, The Anywhere Cafe, Lorenzini's second solo studio album, highlights his multi dimensional in-character songwriting style. The Anywhere Cafe consists of 12 songs written by Lorenzini capturing the entangled and often complicated relationships that we find ourselves in and out of. The mostly stripped down piano anchored songs are unattached to a particular sound or time, but rooted deeply in the Lorenzini story telling songwriting approach. Lorenzini explores the way we deal with the lingering aftermath of our hopes and aspirations that have gone the way of unexpected change and how we come to grips with those events. The tracks reaffirm that we all have a misstep and loss that we carry around with us that, even years later, may still be as fresh as the day it happened. Choosing to do so, relive those moments through this album.
