REYNA

Before churning out glossy ‘80s-inspired electro-pop as REYNA, Milwaukee sisters Vic Banuelos and Gabby Banuelos, formerly known as the duo Vic and Gab, were on the indie-pop fast track as one of the city’s fastest-rising independent bands. In 2015, they decided it was time to enter the next chapter of their career, and the following year saw their rebirth as REYNA —a play on the Spanish word for queen and representative of a new era under a regal name that “represented their culture, where they come from and, of course, powerful women.” - Billboard. Ushering in a new, and pop-leaning era for the siblings, they have gone on to collaborate with producers Drew Pearson (Kesha, Lights), Siimon Oscroft (The Aces), John Feldman and Derek Furhmann. Their latest string of singles, including “Coachella,” “Lonely Girl” and “7’11,” have garnered over 10,000,000 Spotify streams combined.

REYNA have been featured cover artists for a multitude of coveted Spotify playlists including Latinx Indie Rising, New Music Friday, Indie Pop!, Young and Free and Feel Good Indie Rock. They have opened for artists Kesha, CHVRCHES, Death Cab for Cutie, The Naked and Famous, and have played festival stages at Summerfest, SXSW, Lincoln Calling, Middle of the Map and Underground Music Showcase. 
REYNA has previously been named the Project: Aloft Star winner, beating out over 2,000 bands nationwide and locking in a single track deal with Capitol Records. 
This year, their momentum will continue to build as they return to SXSW as 2022 official artists and lead into the release of their debut EP “you could at least say goodbye” due out in Spring. Their first EP project will see the duo take the next steps in refining and solidifying their signature modern pop sound as they tackle the themes of love and heartbreak.
