Pete Josef

It is some time ago now that Pete Josef begun the first steps towards becoming the artist he is now. He was a musician from young, with musical parents and a church singing background; but it was the people he met in a unique and creative haven at 20 that set the true beginning of his artistic journey. This place was a little hill in Devon, and it was here he found his first taste of a community with a collective vision of a musical world with no boundaries or boxes; a vision that sowed the seeds of an original voice that has been maturing ever since.

That was a decade ago now, and a lot has happened in the meantime. Like an excited child, Pete has run down whichever road had that brightly colored rainbow at the end; that next musical project that would inspire him to greater heights.

His horizons have been broadened, and his talents enhanced by the rich and diverse music scene of Bristol. Here he developed his multi-instrumental skills, and immersed himself in West African music culture, Latin American music, Folk, and dance music. He has collaborated and toured the world with legendary artists like Drum and Bass producer Roni Size and his live band Reprazent, House and Techno producer Darren Emerson (ex-Underworld), and US R&B star, Kelis. He has also by now appeared as featured vocalist with some of the house world’s most talented producers.
