Diana López

Diana López fell in love with two years ago ago. Her first musical experiences were singing in choirs at eighteen years old. Although her studies toward a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Therapy at Columbia University became her main focus and she did not perform for four years, her love of music never diminished. Then, in early 2011 she heard the Voice of Carlos Gardel singing the famous Tango, Volver. Born in New York City of Honduran decent, Diana knew two tangos when she decided to pursue a musical career. Since then, she has placed all her efforts into discovering the beauty of Tango music and learning about the historical culture of dance and musicianship that surround it.

In this time of discovery, Diana has performed in live venues throughout NYC and has collaborated with various accomplished musicians. These include: Emilio Teubal (Piano), Guillermo Vaisman (Accordian) and Sergio R. Reyes (Violin). Currently, she is working as an understudy for two roles in the acclaimed Bésame Mucho, directed by Pablo Zinger playing in El Repertorio Español.
