The award-winning jazz drummer, Charlie Harrington, is slated as a guest performer at the upcoming launch of the Jim Chapin Memorial Teacher Scholarship at the famed Hard Rock Cafe in New York City on February 17, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. On October 19th, 2002, drummers had an opportunity to pay tribute to a man who made an indelible mark in drumming: James F. Chapin. The event was organized by world drum ambassador, Dom Famularo, Frank Bellucci, Joe Cavalaro and Matt Miller, to celebrate Jim's 83rd birthday, and raise funds to assist the drumming legend with a series of personal challenges.
