Sufian Ararah

Sufian Ararah is an independent artist, oud master, composer, filmmaker, and producer whose work explores contemporary expressions of the oud through Mediterranean, North African maluf, and global musical influences. Working across composition, production, and interdisciplinary creation, he develops and releases his projects independently, shaping both the artistic and sonic direction of his work. Originally from Tripoli and now based in Berlin, he grew up surrounded by the rhythms and musical traditions of the region, including North African maluf, which continue to shape his artistic language. His music draws from Middle Eastern maqamat, North African grooves, and Mediterranean melodies, blending them with elements of oriental jazz, improvisation, and contemporary composition.
