Michael Tingle

With the music industry having its ups and downs, Michael “Mike T“Tingle’s love for music has sustained his devotion for producing and performing the best in live music. As bandleader and guitarist for the JazzManiacs, Michael has assembled some of Philadelphia’s finest musicians to put forth a product that his audience needs and desires.

Michael has collaborated with fellow musicians such as PEOPLES Terry Gamble and the late Carol MacDonald of Buddah and United Artist records ISIS fame. He has also worked and traveled extensively with the master of the B3 Hammond- the late South Philly native Charles Earland, vocalist Pam Mitchell-Knight, jazz finest Toni Washingtn, and Shirley Lites of Urban Guerilla and the Shirley Knight band. He also has had the pleasure of working with McFadden & Whitehead, Frank Bey, Gloria Allende, Harry Lindsay of Breakwater and Odyssey, frontman Bob Lowe from Maghony and saxman of the Blue Notes Bill Williams.

The audiences at the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Blues Alley in DC, Cobo Hall in Chicago, Mozambique in Detroit and the Bottom Line in NYC have all had the pleasure of watching Mike T crank up the reverb producing the many sounds of his beloved Selena. Some local spots Mike has played at are Five Spot, the Nail, Khyber, Doc Watson’s, Fairmount Park, Vernon Park, Clarke Park and the Carousel House.

Mike wants his audience to stay tuned as he continues to pull from the talented pool of musicians in Philadelphia, assembling those musicians and putting together the best musical project Philadelphia has seen in a long time.
