Jared Beckstead-Craan
Jared Beckstead-Craan is an artist, musician, composer, double-bassist, and educator.
Jared’s personal conception of music comes from a confluence of their Haitian heritage, their eclectic upbringing, their desire to make people dance, and their deep love for the music of Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Sarah Vaughn, Thelonious Monk, and Charles Mingus.
Jared has performed in the United States, Canada, China and Jamaica with such luminaries as Quincy Davis, Jon Gordon, Randy Napoleon, and Juno Award-winning Guitarist Jocelyn Gould.
They currently reside in Brooklyn, where they are part of the New York—based collective Momentum. They are set to release their debut EP in the summer of 2022.
