James Dewitt

James Dewitt has recently released his self-produced record "An Introduction" and it is one of the many developments that capture the motivation he has. As a jazz singer, taking flight from the moment he heard Sinatra by the age of 14, he never let go of the idea of singing and experimenting with the possibilities of jazz, swing in particular, and contemporary pop sounds. Coming from a music-driven family (his father was a singer as well), he easily interested himself in the sound of swing and the feel of crooning. However, his music cannot simply be captured by the idea of a crooner singing some songs. His vision reaches beyond that: he is performing a new kind of swing, making it accessible through the catchy sound of pop.

Influenced by many late crooners and contemporary musicians, James is inventing his own sound through jazz and pop. Singing alongside many different bands, James is taking his chances and it won't be long until a new concept of popular swing will be introduced in music.
