Geraldine Tyrance

Geraldine is the dedicated wife of Patrick; they are the proud

parents of two, Chinita and Patrick, Jr. and the blessed

grandparents of four beautiful grandchildren. Patrick, Jr. is a

previous Husker football player and was inducted into the

Nebraska and the Millard Hall of Fame; he was also recently

inducted into the Academic All-American Hall of Fame.

Chinita has a very successful career in the banking industry

where she started from the ground level and has worked her

way up into upper level management.

At the age of five, Geraldine began studying private piano;

instead of playing outside, she loved to practice the piano. By

age 13, Geraldine acquired her first job as a church pianist.

She earned two degrees by working as a graduate assistant

and accompanist at Morgan State and also undergraduate

assistant and accompanist at Elizabeth City State University

and graduate University. Upon receiving her undergraduate

degree, Geraldine became a Music Supervisor for three

schools in North Carolina. She later organized the Vaughan-

Huber Cultural Arts Program in Baltimore, MD and was

accompanist for the Baltimore Symphony Chorus until

resigning from the position. Geraldine was accompanist for

Trinity Interdenominational Church for approximately four

years and has been Guest Pianist for Christ Community

Church for four of the five years since it’s inception, Whole

Women’s Day Event. Geraldine teaches private piano

lessons and has taught seven different nationalities in her

private studio, many of whom have become excellent

musicians and music instructors themselves. She has a

Masters Degree in Music Education and is a Nationally

Certified Piano Teacher.
