Chris "Crash" Clifton

Trombonist and vocalist Chris “Crash” Clifton started to play trombone at the age of 11 as a member of the Whitby Brass band in Ontario, Canada. Chris attended Humber College in Toronto. He played on the S.S. Norway from 1980 to 1986, backing up hundreds of name entertainers. Chris moved to the United States in 1986 to pursue his musical career. Chris won an audition for a trombone position in the Walt Disney World Band and played there from 1987 to 2000. He still continues his employment with the WDW Corporation playing with many bands on property. He also finds time to play with many local jazz bands in the Tampa Bay area, including Dick Maley’s WYSIWYG Jazz Band. His musical styles are varied. He plays Jazz, Rock & Roll, and can be heard playing in the pit orchestras for many Broadway shows at the “Straz” in Tampa, FL Source: Chris Clifton
