BENJI & Their Orchestra

“A hyper-vigilant insomniac,” multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, lyricist, composer, producer, dancer, model, and entrepreneur, BENJI is a teenager from Princeton, NJ, modernizing styles from the past (such as jazz and classical music), giving the original roots of music a platform once again.

BENJI recently graduated from the nation’s premier boarding arts high school, Interlochen Arts Academy, studying Interdisciplinary Arts with a concentration in Music Business. BENJI is continuing their undergraduate education at Ohio University, studying Music Production and Recording Industry Studies on a Pre-Entertainment Law track. BENJI is passionate about protecting artists and making the music industry more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

BENJI is the Founder, CEO, and Recording Artist at HOLLYWOODLAND Music Group, LLC, Founder, and Editor in Chief for The HOLLYWOODLAND Magazine, and the Founder and Executive Director for The HOLLYWOODLAND Project.

In 2021, BENJI was named West Coast Dance Explosion’s National Champion. The following year was spent assisting world-renowned choreographers on a multi-city national dance convention tour.

On March 17, 2023, BENJI released their debut single, “the boy from costa rica,” a bossa nova.

Their debut EP, “hypnagogia,” was released through HOLLYWOODLAND Music Group, LLC, on May 19, 2023. The project features five original tracks that explore the process of being awake to falling asleep. When listening to the EP, you may be able to identify sources of inspiration from musicians such as Laufey, FKA Twigs, Weyes Blood, Lucrecia Dalt, and Fiona Apple.
