Andy Kleindienst
Since 2005, Andy has contributed to the vibrant and growing music scene in central North Carolina. This includes being co-director for Orquesta GarDel from 2007-2013, a member of the John Brown Jazz Big Band, and the director of the Charanga Carolina ensemble at UNC Chapel Hill. He has also maintained a full teaching schedule of brass and bass students. Having recorded on more than a dozen albums over the past few years with groups ranging from The Beast, Zo!, Lizzy Ross, John Brown and Nnenna Freelon, and the Tim Smith Band, he is poised to record his first album as a leader to be released in 2015.
