My Jazz Story
I love jazz because...I just do, plus I grew up with it - my dad played the trumpet and also listened to a lot of great jazz.
I was first exposed to jazz...from day 1.
I met [musician name]...my dad (of course) Bill Pinson, Art Porter (father of Art Porter, Jr., and awesome piano player)
The best show I ever attended was...Doc Sevrenson at the music hall in Ft. Worth, about 1980.
The first jazz record I bought was...Dizzy Gillespie Musician Racontuer
My advice to new listeners...just listen, and feel it - then go learn about it, a little theory & scales/chords, different rhythms, to
appreciate what's going on.
Or whatever else you have in mind.
