My Jazz Story
I love jazz because is my way of living, thinking and acting.
I was first exposed to jazz when I heard My Favourite Things by John Coltrane.
I met Mark Soskin in Kiev and Vladimir Tarasov (a great free jazz drummer) in Vilnius.
The best show I ever attended was Ernie Watts Quartet at Vilnius Jazz Festival.
The first jazz record I bought was Dave Brubeck Quartet in Moskow.
My advice to new listeners: start from jazz classics.
Or whatever else you have in mind: God plays drums in a jazz band.
My House Concert Story
There is no jazz house in the city where I live, unfortunately.
