Vitalijus focus on writing about Baltic jazz but also shed light on some other countries or regions.
A passionate music fan and independent music journalist, Vitalijus Gailius regularly writes for the Lithuanian Music Information Center and other Lithuanian outlets. Since 2018, he has been participating to the El Intruso’s Annual International Critics Poll. In 2020, he was a member of the commission for the selection of works for the “Note Jazz from Lithuania 2020” compilation. Vitalijus has a broad interest in music and avoids being positioned with only one genre or style. He writes not only about the jazz or improvisational music scene, but also explores metal, rock, underground electronics and many other musical areas.
