My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it's a genre of music that truly allows you to express your inner most emotion and passion for life. I was first exposed to jazz from my parents who turned me on to Oscar Peterson, Errol Garner, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. I met Dizzy Gillespie when I opened for him at Yale University. The best show I ever attended was seeing Oscar Peterson and Herbie Hancock in a duo concert. The first jazz record I bought was George Benson - Breezin My advice to new listeners is always be opened minded to exploring new possibilities.
