Trifon Dimitrov

About Me
Trifon Dimitrov was born in Pleven, Bulgaria. He graduated from the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2002. As a student he performed at local and international jazz festivals, jazz clubs, recorded for the Bulgarian National Radio and Television. While studying in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2002-2004, he was a member of a jazz trio opening weekly Jam Sessions at the world famous club Jazzkeller. Trifon moves to New York in 2004 and graduates from the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music. He is also a student of legendary jazz bassist Ron Carter. Trifon has performed at numerous Jazz Festivals, clubs, TV and Radio shows true out the world as well as Broadway shows and recording sessions in NYC. He has also performed with world-renowned musicians such as Randy Brecker, Earl McIntyre, Renee Manning, Jimmy Heath, TS Monk, Nat Adderley Jr, Tommy Campbell, Tony Lacatosh, Duane Eubanks, David Amram, Dion Parson, Theodosy Spasov, Zoran Madjirov, Antony Donchev and many others.
