About Me

TAK! is an ambitious project formed by four young jazz musicians active in the Barcelona music scene those who start this proposal in autumn 2011 with the intention to find a sound and personality in the world of jazz. The most important element of this band but is certainly constant communication and good feeling between the musicians on stage, which causes a result fresh and pleasant to the listener. Current jazz influences as progressive jazz, avant-garde jazz, free jazz and hints of other musical styles like hip-hop, soul and funk we can find within the group's own compositions always exploiting to the maximum the sounds of each instrument. Young Group with short career but already has several concerts in the most important places of the country and recently won the contest La Coruna Jazz Fusion. The new album is called “TAK!” and is a collection of 9 original compositions that tell a musical story of various experiences lived by the members of the group and linked so that there is a storyline between them. A good starting point to see the strong impact it can have this group in the future, and a clue to the direction they will take.
