Bassist, educator and clinician.
Steve Rosati has been playing since the age of 6, starting with the family band. Bass
has been a constant part of Steve's life earning a degree in jazz bass in 2001, from
Moravian college. And then continuing his studies with Mathew Garrison, Janek
Gwizdala, Tony grey, Tom Kozic and Lee Daniels. Steve has been a repeat demo artist
for Phil Jones Bass at the NAMM show and a regular instructor for Gerald Veasley's
bass boot camp.
My Jazz Story
I love jazz because...it gives me hope and a deep connection to other musicians
I was first exposed to jazz...when I was 5 yrs old my first album was "kind of Blue" thanx
dad.
I met [musician name]...Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno, Michael Manring, John Patitucci,
George Benson,Adam Nitti,Gerald Veasley,Janek Gwizadal, Wynton, Clark Terry, Stanly
Turrintine, Mike Pope, Steve Kimock....
The best show I ever attended was...not sure I've seen so many great shows..
The first jazz record I bought was...kind of Blue
My advice to new listeners...always have big ears.
Or whatever else you have in mind. Keep growing, never stop being a student.
