My Jazz Story
Steve Adorno and Lori Rose Adorno are a husband-and-wife team of composers, musicians, and producers whose joint musical careers span over 50 years. Originally starting out in a garage band in the Bronx, New York, the duo has generated millions of streams worldwide across their collaborative projects. They operate out of their production company, Onroda MusicWorks LLC.Early Careers and BackgroundDevoshun: In the mid-1970s, they began their professional careers as teenagers in the R&B group Devoshun. Their track was highlighted by Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 as an essential disco disc of 1976.Steve's Background: He is a veteran drummer, keyboardist, and producer who has played for platinum-selling R&B artists like GQ, as well as icons like Natalie Cole, Phyllis Hyman, and Jerry Butler.Lori's Background: She is a lyricist and lead vocalist who previously recorded with MCA Records and served as a performer, composer, and producer for the Fania International recording artist Latin Rock band, SEGUIDA. Current Musical Styles and Recent ReleasesToday, they primarily perform together in their live and release heavily global-inspired "Urban Bossa" and pan-Latin Brazi;ian jazz music. Their recent prominent musical projects include: ESPIRITO: A Brazilian Music Fantasy: An original album serving as a musical homage to the rhythms of Brazil and standard-bearers like Sergio Mendes. Ascension: A Brazilian Music Fantasy, Vol. 2: Their latest album release featuring collaborations with acoustic guitarist Larry Del Casale and pianist Lenny Underwood.Popular Singles: Notable recent tracks include "New Day Samba", "Nobody But You", "Positano Love", and "In the Name of Love". Steve & Lori Rose just hit a major milestone: our lead single is currently Top 10 on the Connect Brazil Music Charts, and our second track is climbing the Top 20.
