Shakera is funky, sassy, and a beautiful performer!
Montclair, New Jersey native, moved to Philadelphia to study jazz at Temple University, received BA in Jazz Voice. Continued studies at the University of the Arts, completed MM in Jazz Studies; formed Shakera Jones Quartet, performs original Jazz Soul music and original jazz standard arrangement, has performed at premier jazz venues, taught voice at Freedom Theatre and Point Breeze Perfoming Arts Center. Currently performs in Philadelphia and is a Music Educator with M.ED in Educational Leadership Recorded two live Cds (2005/2008), working on recording for 2012. Lives to perform and inspire the younger generation to be better people through the arts.
