Robert Slentz-Kesler

Writer, singer, teacher, librarian

About Me

Robert Slentz-Kesler had his first jazz immersion experience at age seventeen after blindly leaping into the high school jazz band as a guitarist. It was simultaneously terrifying and exhilarating. The later transition from guitar to singing included several years in a semi-professional vocal jazz octet. He is a former public-school teacher and librarian whose fiction has appeared in Litro Magazine, STORGY Magazine, the Font, and the Rappahannock Review. He lives and writes in Durham, North Carolina.
