My Jazz Story
I love jazz because...of Light as a Feather by Chic Corea.
My House Concert Story
My wife and I hosted one concert a year for twelve years from 2005 until 2017. We live in the rarefied air at 8700 feet in the Rocky Mountains outside of Denver CO. The view is the cover of my CD which features the beautiful cornet maestro (and the late) Ron Miles and the artistry of Chuck Lamb who has been with The Brubeck Brothers Quartet for fifteen years. We hosted the 80s jazz-fusion band Dry Jack, the stunning virtuosity of ukelele player Jake Shimabukuro, a tribute to the music of Pat Metheny with Seattle based guitarist Brian Monroney and many wonderful vocalists including Denver's own, the legendary Hazel Miller.
