A former international financial executive with a long term fascination with jazz and its artists
I am a retired international financial executive who during my working career was posted to
Mexico City, Rome, Paris and London. While living in these cosmopolitan locations I was able to see
and listen to jazz music and a wide variety of musicians who played it.
As a result of this exposure, I built a music collection that was in many ways unique as I was able
to acquire albums that were generally not available in North America.
Consequently when I retired I was interested in using my acquired knowledge to look for an
opportunity to write about jazz. For the past ten years or so I have been reviewing jazz records for
two on line sites; firstly for Music-Web International based in Coventry England and latterly for
Audiophile Audition based in Portland Oregon.
This has been very satisfying work and has kept up my interest in the music
My Jazz Story
I met Oscar Peterson when I was very young and from that moment I was fascinated by the music and the people who played it....
