About Me

From Nice, France, percussionist Philippe Ciminato is a versatile independent musician who has performed worldwide with internationally acclaimed artists such as Salena Jones, Horacio “EL NEGRO” Hernandez, Toninho Horta, Steve Thornton, Lenny Castro, Gerald Albright, Dwiki Dharmawan & the World Peace Orchestra, Guy Strazz, Andy Suzuki, Joe Rosenberg, Mounir Troudi, Kamal Mussalam, Mimmo Cafiero, Andrea Marcelli and many other wonderful musicians.

Philippe is now working on a new personal project ManiLibere while being a member of Jean-Luc Danna “No Stress” and Mazamorra.

Philippe's newest release (January 2010) is the Album “Collective Messkeepers” (Demajors/Indie) with his modern Jazz quintet TAO KOMBO.

Having completed his academic studies of classical and contemporary/Jazz Music majoring in Afro-Cuban percussion, Philippe applies this rich heritage of influences by combining musicality and dexterity on percussion instruments from all over the world. To his own compositions, for various projects, styles and instrumentation, for Sharing, Exploring, Freedom of expression... Peace, Light, Love & Joy !
