About Me
My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it's impossible not to love jazz!
I was first exposed to jazz when my dentist gave me an Oscar Peterson
record, and soon I also found some Hot Five recordings.
I met some of the best and the worst jazz musicians alive.
The best show I ever attended was... Not really sure.
The first jazz record I bought was Oscar Peterson's "Night Train".
Well, I made a copy then and bought it later, when it was reissued
here in Argentina.
My advice to new listeners: just listen to the greats! Fats Waller,
Jelly Roll Morton, Satchmo, OP, Jabbo Smith, Eddie Condon, Count
Basie, Edmond Hall, Pres, Jimmy Smith, Dick Wellstood, Charlie Christian, Wild Bill Davison, etc.
Well, you get the point.
It's great to know that I live in the same planet with Joey
DeFrancesco and Marty Grosz.
