About Me

Studied music education at Florida Southern College (BA 1974) and tuba performance at University of Michigan (MM 1984). Began teaching at Florida Southern College in 1987 directing the Jazz Ensemble, teaching Music Education classes, Music History classes, and Low Brass. Founded the “Child of the Sun” Jazz Festival with Nat Adderley. Festival ran for twenty years, and after a two year hiatus was revived in 2011.
