My Jazz Story
I love jazz because...it's America's legendary sound
I was first exposed to jazz...by my high school music teacher
I met [musician name]...Chuck Mangione
The best show I ever attended was...Count Bassie Orchestra
The first jazz record I bought was...Spiro Gyra
My advice to new listeners...never stop
Or whatever else you have in mind. I'm now booking for the Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts and we book lots of jazz acts.
My House Concert Story
Most currently, I volunteer at the Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts. Our founder and jazz guitarist Chris Cortez had to leave unexpectedly due to a serious illness. The
jazz acts are well attended and everyone misses Chris and his wife Melody. Their story is the one we tell.
