Over the years, I've gained great respect here in Canada as an actress in theatre, film, radio, television, and voice over. And throughout my career, music has always been prominent, in cabaret , jazz, stage musicals, TV, etc. But A Matter of Time is my first solo CD, the first time Ive revealed myself as a singer/songwriter, and the response so far has been thrilling, reviews consistently shining. Embarking on a path of marketing, gigging, selling, gettting airplay, etc....is a whole new learning curve, a total career shift, and very exciting, but also daunting. So any form of promo and recognition is my goal right now.
I am wildly proud of this album, and have 100% confidence that it's going to give alot of people alot of pleasure. I think my story is It's never too late, and there's a huge segment of the music listening population that I believe will be turned on by that. (And yet, one of my fans told me that she had to buy another copy for her 13 year old, who was addicted to it! ..... a wonderful revelation about my fanbase...) Most importantly, I'M really turned on by the prospect of this new artistic cycle, and the possibility of collaborating with songwriters of all ages and genres.
