My Jazz Story
I love jazz because...
I was first exposed to jazz when I was 12
years old.
I met Joe Bozie when I was 18. I met Gene
Krupa when I was 22 years old.
The best show I ever attended was Jazz at
the Philharmonic in St. LOUIS when I was
16.
The first jazz record I bought was Stan
Kenton Orch.
My advice to new listeners. Listen to the
people who created Jazz and artists playing
throughout the years.
Or whatever else you have in mind.
My House Concert Story
Recently attended an evening of Dave Weckls Groove Band. Incredible! It took place in St Louis, MO at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center.
