My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...of the freedom it expresses I was first exposed to jazz...about 6th grad by my piano teacher I met [musician name]...Clark Terry, Wadada Leo Smith, Douglas R. Ewart, George Lewis, Dan Loomis The best show I ever attended was...Bill Evans in Kansas City around 1973 and again at the Copacabana in the Holiday Inn (true!) in River North in Chicago 1980. Pat Metheny at the Sheldon (STL) about 5 years ago, The Wee Trio at Jazz at the Bistro (STL) last year, The first jazz record I bought was...Corea & Burton Crystal Silence My advice to new listeners...concentrate your listening on one instrument, don't try to hear everything all at once Or whatever else you have in mind.
