Jeffrey Smith

I am a well versed jazz musician and instrumental Jazz educator providing an expansive list of performing groups.

About Me

Jeffrey Smith has performed in each of the lower 48 States and in 13 countries: as far west as Thailand and as far east as Turkey as a trumpet player for a variety of groups including The Temptations, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Don Menza Big Band, Showboat, Francisco Torres, Jiggs Whigham, Bobby Shew, Kenny Rogers, Heart, Donna Summer, Yakima Symphony, New World Brass Quintet, Las Vegas Philharmonic, and many others. Performance credits also include showbands in Las Vegas including the Imperial Palace, Light at The Bellagio, the Flamingo, and many hours of studio recording for television, radio, and album productions. Jeffrey is currently Director of Jazz Studies at Yakima Valley College and a music educator for the West Valley School District running the Jazz Department and concert bands. He continues to perform regionally working in all styles of music.

I love jazz because it is a vastly wide platform for musical expression and enjoyment both for the listener and the player.

My House Concert Story

I regularly produce concerts for public schools, college ensembles, guest artists, and provide ensembles including quintets, big bands, little big bands, and Latin jazz ensembles for a variety of requests.
