About Me
Ingrid Gerstmann is a jazz vocalist and composer based in New York City. Her first EP, of all original compositions, ”Ingrid Gerstmann Quartet Live at Silvana,” was released on August 1, 2024. https://ingridgerstmannquartet.hearnow.com Gerstmann made her NYC debut performance in 2015 at Smalls singing with the New York Jazz Workshop. She performed at Symphony Space with the Louis Armstrong Jazz Performance Program, and has played her own shows at Silvana, The West End, and Club Bonafide. Along with public and private gigs around the city, she returned regularly to the West End, curating her own shows, until the pandemic hit. Gerstmann now performs her own compositions exclusively but still enjoys (re)arranging jazz standards and songs chosen from all musical genres, many overlooked or forgotten. Gerstmann has graced the stage with John Austria, Donald Nicks, Taru Alexander, Bruce Cox, Keith Jordan, Ben Rosenblum, Russell Carter II, Jesse Crawford, Andrea Venezianni, Andrew Schiller and Tony Mapp. Gerstmann is from San Francisco, where she studied classical voice and completed the American Conservatory Theatre’s Professional Actor Training Program.
