My Jazz Story
Jazz is music that you listen to and it is best to listen in a club
setting. The club setting is ideal because, not only do you hear the
music, you see the music being played. At the club you see the moving
hands of the pianist and drummer; you see the connection between the
guys playing the horns. That's why I am grateful "Take 5 Jazz at the
Brew" has opened in Stockton, CA. It's the place where you can hear real
jazz! I'm talking about Bird, Cannonball, Miles, Monk... you get the
idea. And remember, the jazz club is not where you sit and hold
conversations. The jazz club is where you sit, listen and watch.
