My Jazz Story

I first got into jazz because I was an Audiophile, some of the best recordings were Jazz recordings. An early one that I remember best is "The Three", which was recorded using simple miking techniques and then cut Direct to Disc, which were the first Audiophile recordings. Of course the playing is second to none as well, from these Icons of Jazz, Joe Sample is the pianist, Ray Brown on bass, and drummer Shelly Manne. Flash forward from 1976 and I now have a son who has been recorded on many albums and composed and arranged for his own Jazz group, the latest of which is Harley Card's "The Greatest Invention". You should really hear the whole Album and then check out his 1st (Non Fiction) and 2nd (Hedgerow) Jazz Albums: http://harleycard.ca/discography.html
