My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it mellows me. I was first exposed to jazz via Dixieland and big band records my parents played. I preferred instrumental music until I met Paul Jost. WOW! Vocal sensibility of a percussionist. Incredible style and lyrical scat. I'd never heard anyone do what he does, interpretively. My advice to new listeners... Don't stop exploring. The artists don't. We fans should not, either. It's social creativity. The new artists need our inquisitiveness.
