About Me
“IT TAKES A CERTAIN KIND OF ARTIST THESE DAYS TO CARRY ON THE TORCH PASSED ON FROM THE LIKES OF NAT “KING” COLE, FREDDIE COLE, BILLY ECKSTINE AND JOE WILLIAMS.” -JAZZ WEEKLY
A Singer’s Singer and Entertainer’s Entertainer, Elijah Rock is a modern-day rarity in an era that craves both authenticity and the skilled craft of old- school showmanship. Blending his classical bel canto mastery with the refined depths of American jazz and blues, his baritone voice-rich and effervescent-delivers an emotive power that transcends time. With a deep reverence for the golden era of African American pop vocalists like Nat ‘King’ Cole, Billy Eckstine and Arthur Prysock, Elijah makes his case to join their ranks. His exceptional vocal prowess and innate passion breathe new life into the timeless melodies of pop traditional classics (known as The Great American Songbook), as well as his own originals. Elijah’s artistry stands as a unique bridge between the iconic crooner tradition and the contemporary, captivating audiences with every note.
