My Jazz Story

I love jazz because... The best show I ever attended was...1970 or 71 I went on a date to this jazz club in Hollywood called Shelly’s Manhole (no joke) I don’t remember who I went to see or my date because who ended up performing was Miles Davis Quartet. It was spectacular I was on a high for a week. I’ve heard a lot of great jazz before and after that but that’s my best memory. I didn’t get lucky with my date, she had no idea who he was, but I didn’t care ( too much????). The first jazz record I bought was... My advice to new listeners... Or whatever else you have in mind.
