My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it's a
unique form of music that
touches hearts.
I was first exposed to jazz
through my father who loved
the trombone and my mother
who played classical piano but
wanted so badly to have jazz
timing.
I met Johnny Griffin, Ed
Thigpen and Horace Parlan
who taught me so much about
how to care for jazz.
