About Me

A friend to the jazz community world-wide, leaving no stone unturned to get to the unreported in jazz media.

My musicianship has always taken the focus of a teacher, be it in composing, performing or writing about music. Teaching is a sacred responsibility to enhance the lives of other people and the history of jazz represents the convergence of many streams of musical imagination - hence the potential to reach a diversity of different people. Without fear of contradiction I am therefore developing my career as a jazz teacher, not linked to any formal institution but instead to life as the training ground with friendship as the medium of instruction. Married to Blessing Anya, we have one daughter named Ushim Daniela.
