About Me

Music lover, electronics engineer, and avid walker based in Milan, Italy

Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed exploring new musical genres, also because you can often discover something wonderful when you least expect it. That was certainly the case when I first started listening to jazz. I still remember when I listened to John Coltrane’s “Naima” for the first time as a teenager: it was an incredible experience! It is a piece that always puts me in the mood for deep reflection and quiet tension, while simultaneously evoking a profound sense of bliss. Captivated by those early listening experiences, I decided to embark on a journey of discovery into the world of jazz and its various styles - a journey that continues to this day. What I love most about jazz is its unique blend of improvisation, emotional depth, and musical freedom. In particular, it allows me to engage in a kind of conversation with the musicians based on deep listening, while experiencing many emotions all at once. In my free time, other than listening to music, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and taking long walks in nature.

My Jazz Story

I suggest listening to jazz because it can be energetic, relaxing, melancholic, and exhilarating, in a very intimate way. In addition to that, it can be very interessing to discover how jazz has influenced many of the most widely listened-to musical genres.
