My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it's the freest form of music about us! It's
exciting, innovative and fresh, forever changing.
I was first exposed to jazz through Albert Ayler, who changed my life
with his Holy Ghost Box Set recordings.
I met Mike Patton on a plane once, it was awesome.
The first jazz record I bought was Ornette Coleman's "Free Jazz: A
Collective Improvisation."
My advice to new listeners if you find something that you don't like,
keep looking. Jazz is vast and seamless, there's something out there for
everybody.
