About Me

Jazz trumpeter living in Alto, New Mexico

I started playing trumpet professionally in Los Angeles in 1968. I've played many different types of music, including classical, rock, Latin, pop, and jazz. In addition to playing trumpet and flugelhorn, I started learning the flute last year and am now using it on gigs, also.

My Jazz Story

I love jazz because I've played music since I was 5 years old and I was exposed to jazz at an early age because my father was a musician. I love to play jazz because of the challenge and freedom of it.

My House Concert Story

I am Vice President of the Roswell Jazz Festival this year, though I've worked with the RJF for the last eight years. It's been a great experience working with and playing with great musicians. By working with the RJF organization I feel like I am doing my part to support jazz. I've been playing jazz since the 1960s and I have attended numberous jazz concerts in L.A., Maryland, Colorado, and New Mexico.
