About Me

Carlo Alfonso is a saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist blending modern jazz language with Latin and Afro-Cuban roots.

Carlo Alfonso is a Los Angeles-based saxophonist, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose music brings together modern jazz language, Latin jazz energy and Afro-Cuban rhythmic influence. His debut original album, Jazz Who?, introduces him as a bandleader with a strong artistic identity, original compositions and a sound rooted in the jazz tradition while speaking to a new generation of listeners. The title responds to the idea that jazz is fading or no longer reaching younger audiences, showing instead that the music is alive, evolving and full of new voices. As a performer and creator, Carlo moves across saxophone, woodwinds and multiple instruments with a wide musical vocabulary shaped by jazz, Latin music, fusion and contemporary instrumental music.
