About Me
Artan Buleshkaj (°1993), is a Ghent (Belgium) based guitarist and composer.
He is active in a myriad of projects in and around the vibrant Ghent scene,
spanning a musical spectrum reaching from pop to freely improvised jazz/noise.
Active projects include: Marta Rosa (dream pop band based in Ghent,
participated in the Humo's Rock Rally, the Nieuwe Lichting,... CD out in 2016
called “Invertebrates) ; BRAIN//CHILD (jazzrock/noise band, with members from
Belgium and Italy. Semi-Finalists of the Keep an Eye International Jazz Contest).
CD out in 2016 (Self Titled, on Honolulu Records); H A S T (rock/free/noise band,
based around the Belgian Altoist Rob Banken, based in and around Ghent).
Further accolades include a nomination for the SABAM Young Jazz Talent Award
(2016) and participation in the finals of the Belgian B-Jazz International Jazz
Award (with Ruis).
