Originally from Santa Barbara, California, composer & drummer
Aaron McLendon lives and works in New York City. His diverse
influences range from Jazz to West African Music; from Hip-Hop to
Modern Rock. Since receiving his MFA from California Institute of the
Arts, Aaron has performed with Kurt Elling, George Clinton, Sean
Kingston, Charlie Haden, Terrence Howard, Taylor Eigsti, Christian
Scott, Gerald Clayton, Eldar Djangirov, Esperanza Spalding, Gretchen
Parlato, Becca Stevens, Logan Richardson, Ambrose Akinmusire,
Angelo Moore (of Fishbone), and many others. He can also be heard on
major label recordings from Concord Music Group & Sony/BMG.
Television appearances have included The Late Show with David
Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Today Show, & The View.
