Scheduling Policy

Typically, all articles are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to live reviews.

We strive to edit and publish articles within five days of submission. However, the volume of incoming articles and certain matters of priority can affect this general policy.

You can check the status of your articles that are pending publication by going to your contributor profile, and clicking the "Article" link. Publish Day indicates the day of the month on which your article will be published.

General Rule of Thumb for Releases

We publish reviews of new releases no more than a week ahead of the street/release date. When submitting a review about a new release (Album, DVD, Book, Multiple Reviews, Extended Analysis), if the release date is more than one week from the date of your submission, please place the street/release date in the Contributor Comments box on the Article Submission form as follows: "Release Date: MM/DD/YYYY."

Album Reviews

Album reviews represent, in general, the largest regular influx of new material to the website. We strive to publish your album review within five days of receipt, but sets a broader timeframe of ten days from receipt to publication, in the event of higher than normal volume. In general, we publish album reviews on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interviews

Depending on the number of interviews pending publication, your interview could be published as soon as the week following submission, but occasionally as much as three weeks after submission. In general, we publish interviews on a first-come, first-served basis.
