Alison's new CD, “Come Back As A Flower: Compositions of Stevie Wonder” will be released in the summer or 2010, in order to commemorate Mr. Wonder's 60th birthday. The all-star line-up, which includes Mimi Fox on guitar, Akira Tana on drums, and Wayne Wallace on trombone, features sparkling arrangements of some of Wonder's most beautiful songs, including “Blame It On The Sun,” “Saturn”, “Joy Inside My Tears”, and the lush, evocative title track, which was co-written with Wonder by the magnificent Syreeta Wright. “Come Back As A Flower” has been a labor of love for Ms. Johns, who counts Stevie Wonder as among the most influential artists of the twentieth century, broadly, but also of her own personal life. We hope that you will enjoy the results of this tribute to Stevie Wonder as much as we have enjoyed making it.
